Webinar Facilitator: Lisa Isaac

Lisa is the owner and Senior HR Consultant at Lisa Isaac HR. In 2018 out of a desire to do things differently in the HR world, Lisa took her corporate knowledge and blended it with an Indigenous approach to policies and procedures and launched her own company: Lisa Isaac HR Professional Services, a social enterprise dedicated to supporting businesses and not-for-profits and giving back to the community.

Lisa is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and has an Honours Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor of Management in Human Resources and Not-For-Profit Management from the University of Lethbridge. Lisa has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources and worked with organizations from Coast to Coast in Canada including those in the energy, manufacturing, and banking sector prior to opening her own HR firm. Lisa’s areas of interest and expertise are broad and include HR integration and project management, merit and bonus management, hiring & termination support, and corporate and non-profit HR, but health & safety is what she is most passionate about.

Lisa’s volunteer portfolio is broad. Currently, Lisa serves on the Volunteer Board of Directors for the National Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) and has previously served as the Chair of the HRPA Sarnia & District Chapter Board. Lisa was also previously a volunteer with the United Way Day of Caring many times over, a YMCA Program & Wellness Volunteer, and was the Co-Chair of the Alberta Royal Eagles Aboriginal Employee Resource Group and in 2011 won the RBC Diversity Champion & Community Spirit Award. Lisa is also an active member of Moose Deer Point First Nation, her home community and has twice run for Council.
