Trade and Export

Indigenous businesses are reaching markets around North America and the globe. CCIB and partners have conducted ground-breaking research on Indigenous trade, export, and export capacity. CCIB’s findings show that a quarter (24.4%) of Indigenous Small and Medium Enterprises export outside of Canada, and 14.8% have overseas international markets. Our research aims to both showcase the export capacity of Indigenous businesses and to recommend policies that improve Indigenous access to new markets.
