Varsity Optical

Varsity Optical started as University Optical owned by Paul Lorieau the former National anthem singer for the Edmonton Oilers. When Paul retired he sold his practice to his nephew Robert Kowalchuk who changed the name to Varsity Optical. Prior to Varsity Optical Robert hired the current owner in 1993 as a part-time optical lab technician. After 25 years of working for Luxottica, he re-opened Varsity Optical. Our Team is comprised of Trevor Mockford, Kim Mockford, Luis Estrada, Natasha, Dr. Marc Kallal, Dr. Tiffany Lim, Dr. Jeanette Trac and other Great Associates. Our Mission is to Honour our Past by Delivering Affordable, Quality Eyewear with Amazing Optometrists and Staff in a Warm Caring Environment.
