Since its founding in 2002, the company has expanded to include offices in Campbell River, Nanaimo, Port McNeill, Prince George and Fort St. John, employing over 150 professionals across multiple communities. SNRC’s mission is to deliver responsive execution of technical expertise to valued clients, provide a safe and positive work environment, and foster prosperity in communities.

SNRC’s service areas cover a wide range of sectors including forestry, aquaculture, mining & exploration, energy & utilities, transportation & infrastructure, and environmental conservation. The company provides environmental & biological services such as resource assessments and hydrogeology; resource management services such as professional forest services and timber development; geomatics services including GIS mapping and analysis; emergency response management including wildfire suppression and spill response; urban forestry & environmental services such as arboriculture; safety programs and training; forest land management & silviculture; and UAV/RPAS imaging, mapping, inspections & surveying.

SNRC adopts an innovative and resourceful model of problem solving that is based on partnership with clients. The company employs dynamic on-the-ground professionals who are industry leaders in various natural resource sectors, including resource and land management, professional forestry, construction support services, environmental science, geomatics, and remote site project development. SNRC’s founding in a small crew specializing in Basic Field Engineering and Timber Development has evolved into a successful consultancy with contracts in Forestry, Energy, Remediation, Silviculture, Mining, Environment & Biological, Transportation, Spill Response, and Wildfire.

One of SNRC’s key milestones in November 2022 was the purchase of a majority interest by the Ehattesaht/Chinehkint First Nation. This new model of Nation/Employee ownership is among the first in Canada at this scale and is a result of the long relationship that was built between the Nation and SNRC.
