Skoden Rentals Ltd is a 51% Indigenous-owned, incorporated company focused on tourism, specifically short-term rental options. Currently, there are two properties available for rent in September. The newest property is 4.5 acres along the Wolastoq, with the provincial ATV trail running through it. A small two-bedroom home will be renovated and used as a long-term rental location during the development phase. The second location is on a provincial lake and will be renovated and utilized as a short-term rental to initiate the company’s cash flow throughout the summer and fall months.
The vision for the company is to continuously grow to include various “glamping-style” accommodations which will appeal to the outdoor enthusiast. Glamping-style domes have become popular throughout the province. However, Skoden will differentiate itself by including small cabins and treehouses. Each accommodation will have additional relaxation perks like wood-burning hot tubs, saunas, and a cold plunge.
This business aims to support tourism while continuously innovating to meet customer needs. Skoden Rentals Ltd would like five private glamping style options in addition to the river view house within the next three years at 30% rental occupancy. There will be a direct path from the trail to the property and a dock on the river to incorporate kayak rental options and boat tours of the Wolastoq River.
The cottage on the lake will be transformed from a summer rental to a year-round accommodation. There will be a strong focus on winter activities for snowmobilers, such as ice fishing, snowshoeing, and an ice rink. We strive to provide our customers a unique experience with various rental pack add-ons to meet their outdoor wants. We strive to provide convenience and comfort for our customers utilizing the ATV trails in New Brunswick.
