Ms. Brenda LaRose brings over twenty-five years of experience leading executive search engagements across a broad range of industries and sectors and throughout most regions in Canada as well as internationally. With strong knowledge of governance and business, Ms. LaRose brings expertise in working closely with Boards and executive teams to assess and identify strategies that will attract and retain the right leaders.
Before joining Leaders International, Ms. LaRose founded Higgins Executive Search and developed a national practice that is now recognized as a Canadian leader in the recruitment of diversity and Indigenous executives and Board members.
Ms. LaRose currently serves as the Past Chair of the Board of Trustees for The Seven Oaks Hospital, The Wellness Institute, and The Seven Oaks Foundation and is the current Chair of the Governance Committee. She serves as Board Member on the Executive of The Canadian Chamber of Commerce (serving on the HR and Compensation committee), and also a Board Member of Air North – Yukon’s Airline and is a founding member of Métis Infinity Investments LLP.
Ms. LaRose is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). She is a graduate of the University of Manitoba and of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), from the Directors Education College of The Haskayne School of Business and is an active member in both the ICD Manitoba chapter. Ms. Brenda LaRose is a co-Founder of SheDay in 2015, an annual conference that brings pre-executive, executive and entrepreneurial women who aspire to leadership roles in business, non-profit organizations and the community. SheDay 2018 had 1,500 delegates that attended.
Ms. LaRose is a Metis Anishinaabe citizen who is born in Winnipeg and raised in Regina. Ms. LaRose recognizes her humble beginnings and is extremely grateful for her full and continuing career and all the accomplishments she has attained. She would tell you that she is most of all proud to be a wife, mother, and grandmother and shepherding her family with the culture and heritage from which she comes.
