Angela DeMontigny Bio

Angela DeMontigny is the recipient of a CCAB Internship Award that jump started her career in fashion and design in 1993. She is now an internationally-renowned, native Canadian designer (Cree/Metis). Her custom made, all leather clothing collections, bold accessories and statement jewellery made of semi-precious jewels and crystals, have been sold in speciality boutiques and galleries throughout North America and Europe since 1995. Angela has not only been a trailblazer for Aboriginal fashion for two decades, but she has also produced some of Canada’s most important showcases for Aboriginal designers. Her most exciting appointment to date has been as the Head for North America on the groundbreaking World Indigenous Fashion Council.
