Jolene is a proud Métis with a mixed ancestry of Nehiyaw (Cree), Haudenosaunee (Mohawk), French, and Scottish descent residing in her homeland of the Métis Nation of Alberta District 5.

Prior to joining CCIB, Jolene has created notable work for CBC’s MMIWG awareness campaign and Rainwolf Management. As a Marketing and Communications Associate with CCIB, Jolene creates dynamic designs and campaigns that communicate CCIB’s mandate, initiatives, events, and research to our members and prospective members.

Her interest in art and design began at a young age, and it was only when she graduated from Emily Carr University of Art & Design in Communication Design that she started to hone her graphic design skills.

She is an ambitious and creative professional who, through her passion for art and design, has produced various collections of work through both personal and commissioned pieces. Jolene has been recognized in CBC’s MOTHER. SISTER. DAUGHTER. where she designed the cover art for the awareness campaign for Canada to uphold the 231 calls to action for MMIWG (2023) and has designed for notable Indigenous artists and businesses across Canada.
