Mathieu Boucher
Director – Indigenous Relations, Hydro-Québec
Since joining Hydro‐Quebec over 20 years ago, Mathieu Boucher has held different positions in which he’s had the opportunity to work closely with Indigenous communities and businesses. He currently heads the team responsible for the company’s relationships with Indigenous Nations and communities. In particular, this team negotiates and executes agreements with Indigenous communities regarding the company’s projects.
Mr. Boucher has been a member of the Board of Directors of Niskamoon Corporation for over 15 years. The Corporation is a Cree organization charged with implementing agreements between Hydro‐Quebec and the Cree Nation of Quebec and managing the funds provided under these agreements.
Mr. Boucher holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Universite de Montreal and a master’s degree in public administration from the Ecole nationale d’administration publique.
