Lisa Isaac

Owner & Senior HR Consultant

Lisa Isaac HR Professional Services (Moose Deer Point First Nation, Ontario)

Lisa is the owner and Senior HR Consultant at Lisa Isaac HR. In 2018, out of a desire to do things differently in the HR world, Lisa took her corporate knowledge and blended it with an Indigenous approach to policies and procedures to launch her own company: Lisa Isaac HR Professional Services, a social enterprise dedicated to supporting businesses and not-for-profits and giving back to the community.

Lisa is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL). She has an Honours Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Management in Human Resources and Not-For-Profit Management from the University of Lethbridge. Lisa has extensive experience in Human Resources and worked with organizations from Coast to Coast in Canada, including those in the energy, manufacturing, and banking sectors, before opening her own HR firm. Lisa’s areas of interest and expertise include HR integration and project management, merit and bonus management, hiring & termination support, and corporate and non-profit HR. Still, she is most passionate about health & safety (particularly psychological health and safety) in the workplace.

Lisa’s volunteer portfolio is broad. Currently, Lisa recently served on the volunteer Board of Directors for the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) as the Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee and has previously served as the Chair of the HRPA Sarnia & District Chapter Board. Lisa was also previously a volunteer with the United Way Day of Caring many times over, a YMCA Program & Wellness Volunteer, and was the Co-Chair of the Alberta Royal Eagles Aboriginal Employee Resource Group and in 2011 won the RBC Diversity Champion & Community Spirit Award. Lisa is also an active Moose Deer Point First Nation member in her home community and has run for Council twice.
