Hazen International is a well bore placement company. Founded in 2020 by Troy Martin, the company is the result of the desire to improve magnetic ranging technology and widen its application to new industries. After 4 years of design, testing and commercialization, we have improved the accuracy and efficiency of placing well bores in their intended position.
Hazen has developed rotary magnetic ranging systems that provides industry leading accuracy at competitive pricing. Proprietary algorithms and software mated with the newest generation of sensors give Hazen a unique position in the market. We have developed two tool systems; Deep Guide, used for downhole applications while SPR (Single Point Ranging) is a surface deployed system used in HDD. Hazen technology improves on current market options by simplifying the outputs and need for data interpolation resulting in less training and easier adoption. The wireless design improves reliability and deployment while eliminating costs associated with current wired and surface coil systems. The result is better service, faster at a lower cost.
The company holds multiple patents on equipment and deployment techniques providing a barrier to competitors and securing Hazen’s position in several markets.
Hazen has introduced a full-service directional drilling division, mating traditional MWD tools and gyro-based tools with survey management to our ranging systems to deliver an all-inclusive solution for drilling operations. Hazen is first to market in HDD offering this combination of services.
Remote Operations Center: Hazen’s system can be controlled remotely allowing the customer to pick up our tools, reducing the cost of retaining highly trained personnel by eliminating travel & standby days as well as subsistence cost.
We have successfully completed projects in Oil & Gas, HDD (pipeline & civil infrastructure) and Solution mining, in Canada, the USA and Turkey with projects planned in Scotland, India and Holland in Q1 2025
