Manager, Human Resources
Salary Range: $62,400 – $83,000 based on experience
CCIB is currently recruiting a Manager, Human Resources, to lead our organization’s human capital, focusing on our growth, training & development and retaining our passionate, talented team.

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources & Operations, the Manager, Human Resources will share our passion for our values and mission and demonstrate a commitment to a culturally diverse and inclusive workplace. The successful candidate will have experience in Human Resource policy implementation, recruitment and orientation, performance management, health and safety, and employment standards. Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the CCIB’s human resources functions, including employee relations, performance management, human resources policies and guidelines, employment lifecycle, compensation and benefits, training, and professional development that promotes employee engagement.
- Provide guidance, counsel, and coaching on employee and labour relations issues, producing recommendations and outcomes that support organizational goals, streamline costs, and reduce risk.
- Supports developing and implementing a diversity and inclusion strategy that supports CCIB’s mission and values.
- Advising on HR matters, including using an HRIS, dashboards and metrics to track HR and professional development impact; supports reporting to the board.
- Oversees a comprehensive performance management program for all staff centred on goal setting, measurable outcomes, deliverables, and key performance indicators.
- Oversees onboarding and continuous learning strategies so employees are welcomed, connected to peers, conversant with the organization’s history and mandate, and equipped with practical and professional tools and opportunities.
- Responsible for strategies, policies, and approaches to fostering a healthy workplace culture for all employees. Manages the annual employee survey.
- Engages and collaborates with external programming partners, post-secondary Institutions, funders and professional networks for internships, recruitment and partnerships that support career development and provide opportunities for the inclusion of new professionals in the Indigenous business community.
- Responsible for ensuring CCIB’s workplace welcomes, supports and accommodates people of all abilities.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Education:
A bachelor’s level university degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources Management, Business Administration, community college diploma, or substantial equivalent professional experience with demonstrated impact.
Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of management experience that blends traditional human resources management with innovation in organizational development and systems improvement.
- Experience in HR administration and record-keeping, reporting and data analysis.
- Ability to facilitate conversations, training and activities that support employee participation in organizational change.
- Demonstrated ability to execute, monitor and evaluate the implementation of human resources tools and policies across diverse teams and departments.
- Demonstrates sound judgment when dealing with confidentiality and sensitive matters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
