Paul McLeod
Manager, IT
Paul McLeod was born and raised in Moose Factory, ON and is Mushkegowuk Illillowin and a member of the Moose Cree First Nations. Growing up with his Elders and family, it was a semi-nomadic Cree lifestyle, on the land, hunting, fishing, and gathering along the unforgiving coast of James Bay.
Driven by a love of technology and art, Paul left Moose Factory and arrived in Toronto in 1996. By good fortune, Paul met the right people at Toronto Image Works and has since then remained at the forefront of Toronto’s digital landscape. Paul graduated from the University of Toronto with a BSc in Computer Sciences. Paul has also attended renowned schools such as Toronto Image Works (TIW), DeVry and Cambrian College, and today, he is complementing his education journey with MIT, studying Data Sciences.
Paul continues to enjoy creating art & photography, dissembling and reassembling watches and guitars and practicing Iaido and Aikido at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. A lifelong learner, Paul is committed to building his skillset with new technology and data sciences, with a focus on Indigenous Data Sovereignty.
