Tan’si, Oki, Danit’ada, Umba-watich, Bonjour, Hello. My name is Brad Spence, Principal Indigenous Advisor with Trace Associates Inc. (Trace). Having Indigenous professional consultants as part of your team makes everyone’s lives easier. We work hard to support and train our clients about Indigenous inclusivity as a component of reconciliation efforts. At Trace we’ve incorporated a two-eyed seeing approach and developed the four components of Indigenous inclusion, including education and awareness, engagement, employment, and business partnerships. These four components serve as Trace’s foundation to engage, build relationships, and create a respectful, inclusive space with Indigenous peoples. Trace strives to support and empower Indigenous peoples by delivering education and awareness services on Indigenous inclusion. Clients are looking for ways to meet their commitments to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Call to Action #92. It can feel overwhelming knowing where to start.
