EDI is about Living Things and Where They Live. Down to Earth Biology: terrestrial, aquatic, and water sciences define our cornerstone disciplines. From baseline inventories, impact assessments, and mitigation planning and environmental construction monitoring, restoration and reclamation, hydrology, water quality, to environmental management plans during operations. Since 1994, EDI’s approach to managing projects is to design a technical team centered on three core areas: Biophysical, Geophysical and Human Environment. We work with clients to confirm there are no “showstoppers” on a given site early in the process and work with proponents, regulators, communities, and Indigenous groups to advance environmentally well-designed projects. EDI is comprised of multidisciplinary teams located in nine offices across western and northern Canada, including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Yukon. As a company, we have the advantage of drawing from over 100 professionals with specialized skills and an extraordinary depth of experience to develop a well-rounded team tailored to suit the specific needs of multi-disciplinary projects. EDI’s success is based on a team-solution approach. EDI ensures that the right people and expertise are made available to serve the client. We work well and integrate with other disciplines on a multi-disciplinary or multicompany approach to address environmental assessment and management needs. We deliver information that needs to be shared among a group and work collaboratively on challenging tasks.
