Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business Announces
2019 Progressive Aboriginal Relations Program Certified Companies
Toronto, ON – August 29, 2019 – Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) announced today the six prominent Canadian corporations who have achieved certification as Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) Program Companies in 2019.
Since the program’s introduction in 2001, PAR remains the premier corporate social responsibility program in Canada with an emphasis on Aboriginal relations. To earn the designation, companies undergo an independent, third party verification and the final company level is determined by a jury of Aboriginal business people. Ultimately, PAR certification gives companies the tools they need to improve and build relationships with the communities they work with or want to work with and makes it easy for Indigenous communities to identify which companies would be good business partners.

On September 26, 2019 in Vancouver, these six companies will be honoured at the annual Vancouver Gala. The celebration will be hosted by former pop star and gifted speaker, Inez Point and will feature performances from Indigenous talent.
